Abstract：The adsorption isotherms of aliphatic alcohols from carbon tetrachloride onto silica gel, of some aromatic compounds from water onto active carbon have been determined. The isotherms can be represented by the Langmuir equation. The changes of standard free energy (△G°) in adsorption processes have been calculated from the Langmuir parameters. The relation-ship of the molecular connectivity index to the △G° was tested. The results show, that the molecular connectivity model is a accurate predictive tool for the adsorption properties of organic compounds in the certain condition.
