Abstract：Extracted organic phases of HDEHP [di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid] containing lanthanide ions have been characterized by FTIR, fluorescence and ICP/AES spectroscopic measurements. The result demonstrates that (1) the water content in extracted organic phase decreases as the loading percentage of lanthanide increases; (2) The fluorescence investigation displays no mixed micelle of Na(or K)-HDEHP formed in the organic phase; (3) The extracted organic phase is a sort of complex fluid, which has multiple aggregation states and different microstructures.
