Schiff Reaction, Mechanism Analysis and Antibacterial Activity of Condensed Product from 2-(4,4,4-Trifiuoro-3-oxo-butyryl) thiophene with Naphthylamine

Trifluoro-3-oxo-naphthyliminobutyryl)thiophene (TOBT-NA) condensed from TTA with 1- and 2-naphthylamine and its Cu(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) complexes are reported now. The mechanism of the condensed reaction has been discussed using quantum chemistry and molecular mechanic calculation methods, which can explain the enamine conformation of the ligand and the imine-enol conformation of the complexes. Using disc diffusion method, the antibacterial activity tests have been conducted, which provides beneficial consult for studying the relationship between the structures and performances.
