利用空气作氧化剂, 无需任何催化剂, 以甲醇作溶剂, 芳香醛与邻苯二胺反应一步合成苯并咪唑衍生物, 产率均超过69%, 产物的结构通过元素分析、红外光谱和核磁共振氢谱确证, 该方法具有操作简单、反应条件温和、环境友好的优点.

Without any catalyst, a direct one-step synthesis of various benzimidazoles in methanol from aromatic aldehydes and 1,2-phenylenediamine was described using air as the oxidant. All reactions acquired good yield (≥69%), and the structures of all products were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H MNR spectra. Compared to the previous methods, this new protocol has the advantages of simple procedure, mild conditions, easy purification and environment friendliness.
