The Joint Editorial Office of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences was established in the 1990s. The first Director is Professor Shengming Ma, the second Director is Professor Kuiling Ding, the third Directoris Professor Shuli You and the current Director is Professor Liang Deng.

The SIOC Joint Editorial Officecurrently publishes three academic journals of Chemistry: Acta Chimica Sinica (monthly，Editor-in-Chief: Professor Yong Tang), Chinese Journal of Chemistry (Semi-monthly，Editor-in-Chief: Professor Shengming Ma), Chinese Journal of Organic Chemistry (monthly，Editor-in-Chief:  Professor Kuiling Ding). These journals are distributed both domestically and internationally, publishing original research in fundamental and applied basic research in chemistry. All three are indexed by renowned international databases and retrieval services such as SCI, Scopus, and CA.
