Hydrolysis of 1, 1'-dicyanobicyclohexyl(Ⅲ) afforded for the first time the correspondiun dicarbozylic acid(Ⅴ) and its and its dride(Ⅵ).Upon oe reduction of the dicarboxylic acid with lithium aluminum hydride, the dihydric alcohol(Ⅶ) was ohtained.The latter was dehydrated with sulphuric acid to give the spiro compound(Ⅷ).
