  Ye, Jianliang & Huang, Peiqiang et al. on page 476-483: This cover highlights the third approach for the direct, catalytic asymmetric reductive transformation of amides. The one-pot protocol is enabled by an aqueous Noyori-type catalytic asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (CATH) of the in situ generated dehydracyclization intermediates from N-phenethylbenzamide derivatives via activation with Tf₂O/2-F-pyridine. A variety of tetrahydroisoquinoline (THIQ) derivatives, including several natural products, were synthesized in high yields and in excellent enantioselectivities.
