A general method for the synthesis of O-alkyl alkylphosphonamides and O,O-dialkyl thiophosphoramides has been reported.This method is based on the reactions of esters of alkylphosphonous acid and dialkyl thiophosphites with amines in the presence of carbon tetrachloride.The reaction mechanism is discussed.
