A study on the ternary system of La(ClO4)3-BAPHDCA-H2O at 30℃ and the preparation and characterization of La(BAPHDCA)2(ClO4)3.4H2O

Solubility and refractive indexes of the saturated solutions of the titled system at 30℃ have been studied and the corresponding equilibrium diagram and refractive index diagram were constructed. Both solubility curves and refractive index curves of the system consist of three branches, corresponding to BAPHDCA, La(BAPHDCA)2(ClO4)3.4H2O and La(ClO4)3.8H2O respectively. La(BAPHDCA)2(ClO4)3.4H2O is a new compound. It was characterized by IR spectra, TG-DTG, X-ray powder diffraction, as well as chemical and elemental analyses.
