STUDIES ON THE BEHAVIOR OF SPLITTING OF ABSORPTION LINES IN ZEEMAN EFFECT ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY AND INFLUENCE OF THE SPLITTING ON SENSITIVITY Ⅱ. THE EFFECT OF FINE AND HYPERFINE STRUCTURE ON ZEEMAN EFFECT ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY

The profiles of both absorption and emission lines in ZAAS, as well in NAAS, wexe given for Cu 324.8 nm, Bi 306 .7 nm, Li 670.8 nm and Au 242.8 nm. The relative absorbance At value of those lines were evaluated. It was found by the profiles and Ar value that the sensitivities of above lines given by ZAAS, except in the case of Au 242.8 nm, are 3 or 4 times worse as compared with that of NAAS, due to the a components shifted into the profile of emission lines in the presence of fine or hyperfine structure with wider separation.
