Tho rirg opening reaotion of (3, 4),(8, 9)-diepogyendotrioyolo [5.2.1.02,6] decane and its exo-isomer and some related model oomponnds with hydrogen ohloride in acetone was studied.The results indioated that the epoxy group on oyolopentane ring was morn reaotive towards suoh ring opening agent than that on the bioyolo [2.2.1] hoptane ring.
