It has been found experimentally that the mixtures of n-butanol-dimethylformamide-ammonium hydroxide (3:1:1) and n-butanol-acetone-ammonium hydroxide (1:3:1) are two eluents good for the separation of halogenates by circular paper chromatographic method (Giri).
