A stdy has been made of the possible use of o-amino- benzene arsonic acid as a reagent for qualitative detection of small amounts of gold.In one percent solution,the reagent gives a red coloration or precipitate with the latter.Limit of identificanon is 0.6 [D]5 or concentration limit,1:8,000,000,when tests are performed in test tube.host ions that interfere can be removed by pH adjustment,or with complez-forming reagonts.
