An Efficient Ni/Zn Catalyst System for the Chemical Fixation of CO2 with Epoxides

The synthesis of cyclic carbonates from epoxides and carbon dioxide catalyzed by NiCl2/bipy/Zn/TBAB catalyst system without any solvent was achieved in excellent selectivity and TOF at 1.5-MPa, 100℃. Pure cis cyclohexene carbonate was firstly obtained in this catalytic system.
