- About the Cover:
  
  On the cover: Benzo[g]chrysene discotic liquid crystals (DLCs) were designed and synthesized from bromo-naphthalic anhydride and biphenyl-2-boronic acids by Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and Scholl reaction tandem. They self-organized into Colhex mesophase with large mesophase ranges, showed photoluminescent color from blue, green to red by functional group variations. These DLCs have potential as organic semiconductors to be used into devices of organic light-emitting diode (OLED), organic field-effect transistor (OFET) and organic photovoltaic solar cell (OPV).
