This paper summarizes the recent progress in the field of [m,n,p] propellanes and discusses in detail the syntheses, the structures, and the properties, especial1y the strain energy and tbe bonding characters of the bridgehead-bridgebead carboncarbon single bond in smal1 ring propellanes.
