About the Cover:13 new thiochromone formamide derivatives substituted at position 2 were synthesized and two synthetic routes for these compounds were developed by Zhou, Su, Cui, Cheng, Li, Zhou, Sun, and Li on page 87. Their antifungal activities against Gaeumannomyces graminis/ var. tritici were evaluated in vitro by the plate method. The results of structure-activity relationship indicated that the group at position 2 of thiochromone formamide derivatives had an important influence on their antifungal activities against Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici. -
About the Cover:The nickel-catalyzed borylation of aryl nonaflates with B2pin2 is reported by Liang, Gui, Wang, Chu, Xu, and Shen on page 207. The reactions proceeded effectively via C—O bond cleavage to afford various valuable arylboronates in moderate to excellent yields with good functionality tolerance. Additionally, gram-scale synthesis and late-stage functionalization of aryl nonaflate derived from pterostilbene could also be realized.
