Synthesis of \b\-glucopyranosides of butyl fluorouracil

2-O-Butyl-3-(2',3',4',6'-tetra-O-acetyl-b-D-glucopyranosyl)-5-fluorouracil (I) and 2-O-butyl-4-O-(2',3',4',6'-tetra-O-acetyl-b-D-glucopyranosyl)-5-fluoroura cil (II) were synthesized from 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-1-bromo-1-deoxy-a-D-glucopyranose (III) and 2-O-n-butyl-5-fluorouracil under phase transfer catalysis. II was also synthesized by reaction of III with 2-O-butyl-5-fluorouracil silver. I and II were treated with ammonia to obtain 2-O-butyl-3-(b-D-glucopyranosyl)-5-fluorouracil and 2-O-butyl-4-O-(b-D-glucopyranosyl)-5-fluorouracil resp.
