Synthesis and Biological Activity of α-(1,3,4-Thiadiazol-5-yl)-aminoalkyl Phosphonates

Fifteen new α-(1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)aminoalkyl phosphonates have been synthesized by addition reaction of diethyl phosphite to the corresponding Schiff bases of 5-amino-2-mecapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole. Preliminarily biological activity tests show that some target compounds have good activity as plant growth regulator, particularly α-aminoalkyl phosphonates of 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde, furfuraldehyde and indolylaldehyde have better auxin activity.
