Abstract

The synthesis of a novel pseudorotaxane formed by cucurbit[6]uril (CB[6]) as the macrocycle and two diprotonated diaminobutane moieties as the “string” was reported. The compounds have been characterized by ¹H NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and ¹H ROESY NMR spectroscopy. Two CB[6] beads were localized on aliphatic chain to combine N^＋ of two diprotonated diaminobutane moieties by non-covalent bonds, and the molar ratio of CB[6] to the “string” was 2∶1.
