Three-Component One-Pot Synthesis of 4-Aryl-3-methyl-1-phenyl- 4,11-dihydro-4H-pyrazolo[4,5:3,2]pyrido[5,6-c]coumarin

A series of pyrazolo[4,5:3,2]pyrido[5,6-c]coumarin derivatives were synthesized by the three component one-pot reaction of 5-amino-3-methyl-1-phenypyrazole with aromatic aldehydes and 4-hydroxy- coumarin in acetic acid. This method has the advantages of excellent yields (79%~94%) and simple workup procedure. The structures of the products were identified by IR, 1H NMR spectra, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallograghic of 4f.
