This review summarizes the different synthetic methodologies used to synthesize azetidines in an enantiomerically pure form, as well as their use as ligands in asymmetric reactions such as asymmetric hy-droboronation, addition of diethylzinc to aldehyde, Henry reaction, Diels-Alder reaction and cyclopropana-tion reaction.
