Huang and Yang[1] studied the effect of five cobalt ammtnes on the solubilities of n-valeric acid in water. These salts salt out the acid, and the amount of salting-out increases with the increase of the charge of the canon. Later, Li and Huang[2] studied the activity coefficients of n-phthalene in seven salts (sodium formats to sodium n-heptylate) of fatty acids and found with the increase of number of carbon atoms in the salts, the salting-ont, of n-phthalene decreases, changes into salting-in, which then continues to increase. But the same five aalt.s (sodium forznate to sodium n-valernte) prodnce an irregnlnr effect of salting-in of caproic acid[3].
