Chlorotrifluoroethylene was polymerized in bulk by means of ⁶⁰Co radiation in the laboratory and in a pilot plant scale,the processing tes is of the products were also made.The results were as follows:The rate of radiation-induced polymerization of CF₂-CFCl is proportional to the square root of the intensity of radiation.The overall activztion energy of polymerization is 5.3 Kcal/mole and the activation energy of initiation approaches zero.
