Nong-Kang 101-F and G have been isolated from Nong-kang 101, a crute egtraot from the culture broth of Streptomyces aureus A-94, by countercurrent distribution. Based on elemental analyses, UV, IR, NMR and MS spectra the structures of Nong-kang 101-F and G are assigned as β-carbamylmethyl-γ-(2-hydrogy-3,5-dime-thylbenzoyl) butyrolactone and β-[(2-hydrozy-3, 5-dimethylbenzoyl) hydroxymethyl] glutarimide respectively.
