The reactions of LaB6 and CeB6 with CO2 at the temperature range of 500-1000℃ have been studied by means of thermogravimetry, chemioal analysis and X-ray analysis, eto. It has been found that these hexaborides are stable under CO2 below 700℃ and reaotion manifests itself above 700℃. With the mentioned temperature range, the main reaction may be expressed by equation(1).
