Infrared spectra of nylon 1010

Abstract

The changes of infrared spectra and densities for Nylon 1010 under various conditions of heat treatment were studied. The polarized infrared spectra of the sample oriented by stretching were also recorded. From the factor group analysis and the normal vibrational modes comparison, a great deal of symmetry species, polarization benaviors and selective rules are obtained in terms of their symmetry properties, then the infrared bands are assigned. Some new bands which are discodvered by means of separating overlapping spectral bands with computer have been discussed.
