A new equation of state for polymer solids was presented as P = B0/4.98[(V0/V)7.14 - (V0/V)2.16 + T/T0] (where P= pressure, V=vol., T=temp., V0= vol. at absolute zero temperature T0 and P0 pressure = 0). The equation was suitable for describing the compression behavior of solid polymers in the region without transition.(
