Abstract

The chromatog. retention behavior of Keggin structure heteropoly anions was studied in systems with a mobile phase containing MeOH-phosphate buffer and Bu4N+ as the ion pair reagent. Three equations derived to describe the influence of ion pair reagent concentration, organic solvent content, and ionic strength in the mobile phase on the heteropoly anion retention were confirmed experimental All heteropoly anions with different charge nos. can be retained and their selectivity can be improved by varying the ion pair reagent concentration and the organic solvent content.
