Organized molecular film of a samarium complex was assembled by using Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film method. The laser induced fluorescence spectra were recorded with the time-resolved technique. The fine structure related to radiative transition of Sm(III) was observed. The fluorescence lifetime as well as the energy level constant of Sm(III) in the LB film was calculated. Some factors influencing the fluorescence emission were investigated by considering the existing states and components in LB films.
