Using o-vanillin as template molecule, molecularly imprinted polymer membranes with supporting membrane were synthesized through in-situ polymerization by UV irradiation. The binding constant and chemical combination ratio of the complex formed between o-vanillin and the functional monomer were obtained by UV spectrophotometry. The membrane structure and surface features were analyzed by FTIR spectrogram and scan electron micrography. Permeation experiment results showed that the imprinted membrane exhibited selective permeation properties for o-vanillin in the presence of the interfering molecule. This work can improve the study of molecularly imprinted membrane permeation mechanism, and also increase the application of molecularly imprinting technique to the sensor field.
