Two new furostanol-type steroidal saponins were isolated from Di'aoxinxuekang, the total saponin from the roots of Dioscorea panthaica and D. nipponica. On the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence, their structures were elucidated as 3β,26-diol-25(R)-Δ^5,20(22)-dienofurostan-26-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1) and 26-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-3β,20α,26-triol-25(R)-Δ^5,22-dienofurostan-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)]-β-D-glucopyranoside (2).
