Syringic acid was used as the model compound of lignin and was reacted with laccase in order to induce reasonable mechanism of the decomposition of lignin catalyzed by laccase. A dynamic detector system was designed, which could detect the real time spectrum signals of reaction system in the wavelength ranges from 190 to 800 nm with interval of 5 s. The obtained data was analyzed by fixed size moving window evolving factor analysis-heuristic evolving latent projection (FSMWEFA-HELP) methods. By using the above methods, the concentration profiles and spectra of reactors and intermediate were resulted and the reasonable mechanism was induced. The obtained results were compared with that from multivariate curve resolution (MCR-ALS) method.
Key words: sectional moving window factor analysis-heuristic evolving latent projection (SMWFA- HELP), evolving factor analysis (EFA), multivariate curve resolution (MCR), chemometrics, process analytical chemistry, laccase
