Studies on the rare earth coordination compounds IV: Preparation and properties of the complexes of rare earth with 4-acetyl-bispyrazolone BPMPPD and 1,10-phenanthroline

RE2A3L2.H2O [RE = Y, La, Pr, Nd, Sm-Lu; H2A = 1,5-bis(1'-phenyl-3'-methyl-5'-pyrazolon-4'-yl)-1,5-pentanedione; L = 1,10-phenanthroline, n = 4 for Y, La; n = 2 for other Re] were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and ligand analyses. The IR, UV-visible and, fluorescence spectra and DTA-TG curves of these complexes were recorded and discussed. The fluoroscence quantum yield of Sm, Tb complexes were measured.
