A study on the steady-state and transient-state photophys. behaviors of 1,5-diphenyl-3-naphthyl-2-pyrazoline compound has been undertaken. The results obtained indicate that the compound TPP has stronger fluorescence emission and solvatochromic effect. The fluorescence of the compound TPP can be quenched by electron-donating and electron-withdrawing quenchers. The systems of TPP/CCl4 and TPP/N,N-dimethyl-p-Toluidine can be used as photosensitized initiating systems.
