Syntheses of telluracrown ethers and a platinum complex one of them

Abstract

A new type of heteromacrocyclic polyethers - telluracrown ethers - was 1st synthesized by the reaction of bis(2-hydroxyethyl)telluride with diol ditosylates, and the synthesis of the Pt complex of 1 of them is also described. The following 9 new compounds were prepared and characterized: 10-tellurabenzo-15-crown-5; 19-telluradibenzo-24-crown-8; 10-tellurabenzo-18-crown-6; 11-tellurabenzo-16-crown-5; 1-tellura-12-crown-4; 1,13-ditellura-24-crown-8; 1-tellura-15-crown-5; 1-tellura-18-crown-6; Pt bis(10-tellurabenzo-18-crown-6) dichloride.
