Study on interrupted multiple-scan potentiometric stripping analysis

Interrupted multiple-scan potentiometric stripping anal. is a new technique of potentiometric stripping anal., which is developed from multiple-scan potentiometric stripping anal. and interrupted voltammetry. The technique not only maintains the high sensitivity of multiple-scan potentiometric stripping anal., but also can eliminate the interferences from elements commonly encountered in this method. Experimental conditions are investigated for determination of Cd2+ and Pb2+, which were determine simultaneously by the new technique with a detection limit of 0.005 ng Cd2+/mL and 0.01 ng Pb/mL after 10 min electrolytic deposition. The relative standard deviations are 2.9% and 3.2%, resp., for detns. of 4 ng/mL of Cd2+ and Pb2+. Interrupted multiple-scan potentiometric stripping anal. can compete with the pulse anodic stripping voltammetry in microanal. field.
