Abstract

The statistical thermodynamic treatment of ion exchange has been developed for binary and ternary systems in this paper. The relationships between the corrected selectivity coefficients and the compositions in exchanger phase have been derived for these systems, and the Kielland formula has been obtained for binary sysstem.
