1-Chloro-2-iodotetrafluoroethane was readily telomerized with tatrafluoroethylene giving low molecular weight telomers,Cl(CF₂CF₂)_nI(n=2～5),whioh were readily separated by fraotional distillation.Through the metal-halogen ezahanga reaction between those telomers and a Grignard reagent,relatively stable cblorofluoroalkylmagnesium halide has been synthesized at low temperature.From the reactions of these chlorofluoroalkylmagnesium halides,ω-hloroperfluoroalkene-1,Cl(CF₂CF₂)_nCF=CF₂(n=1,2,3).ω-chloroperfluoroalkyl aarbinols,Cl(CF₂CF₂)_nCR'R"OH(R'=CH₃,R"=H;R'=R"=CH₃;R'=R"=CF₃;n=2,3) and ω-ohlorofluoroalkanesulfonyl chloride have been prepared.Methylmagnesium iodide reacted with methyl ω-hlorofluoroalkanoate yielding oarbinol Cl(CF₂CF₂).CF₂C(CH₃)₂OH(n=1,2).Potassium chloroporfluoroalkanesulfonates are good surfactants which has been applied to the chromium electroplating as a chromic said-mist suppressant.
