The synthesis of 3-hydrosy-anthraquinone-2-aldehyde,1,6,8-trihydrogyanthra-quinone-3-aldehyde,3-methogyanthraquinone-2-aldehyde,3-methoxyanthraquinone-2-acrylic acid and their esters,1,6,8-trihydroayanthraquinone-3-acrylic aoid and anthraquinone-2-acrylamides are reported.The ultraviolet and infrared absorption spectra for some of these compounds are also reported.
