Four crystalline alkaloids Xuan-Wu 1,2,3 and 4 have been isolatod from the root of Aconitum nagarum Stap var.lasiandrum W.T.Wang(a Chinose folk medicine).Xuan-Wu 1,2,3 and 4 are proved to be identical with Bullatine A,G,B and C respectively by comparison of their physical constants,1R,TLC and mixed melding points,Thoreforu,the molecular formula of Bullatine A ought to be amended to C₂₂H₃₃O₂N and Bullatine G to C₂₂H₃₁O₃N.Furthermore,Xuan-Wu 2 and 3 have been proved to be idantical with the known compounds songorine and neoline respectively and tha structure of Xuan-Wu 4(i.e.Bullatine C) is proved by chemical and speotral studies to be a new compound,14-acetylneolino.
