The surface-activity of seven organic complex-forming agents is investigated by measuring the differential capacity of the electrode solution interface.Parallelism between the stability of their Hg2+-complexes and their surface-activity on positive-charged mercury electrode is observed,which is explained by the partial-ionic character of surface metal atoms of the positively-charged electrode.
