Phenyl or p-chloxophenyl magnesimn bromide was allowod to react with methyl chloromethyl chlorosilanes, giving phenyl or p-chlorophenyl methyl chloromethyl silanos of the general formula (CH3)3-n ArnSiCH2Cl.
