(1)1,2-Bis (p-Chlorobenzylamino) ethane has been found to be a very satisfactory reagent for the identification of aldehydes. This diamine did not react with acetone or the other ketones tested. (2) Twenty new solid derivatives of 1,3-bis (p-Chlorobenzyl) tetrahydroimidazole have been prepared.
