Dendronized Carbohydrates Ⅰ—Molecular Design and Synthesis

Abstract

In this study,dendronized carbohydrate liquid crystals were synthesized by divergent-convergent method.Three carbohydrates,2-acetylglucosamine,glucosamine and glucose,were chosen as core units,and wedge shaped dendron DOBOB acid[3,4,5-tris(p-dodecyloxybenzyloxy)benzoic acid]as branches.DOBOB acid was synthesized by convergent method,then a series of halogenated carbohydrate derivatives were synthesized,and finally these two building blocks were jointed by condensation reaction to obtain the target products.
