Abstract

A silica-supported chitosan-iron complex SiO2-CS-FeCl3 has a good conversion for reductive carbonylation of nitrobenzene. The high activity and selectivity of the catalyst have been achieved by the synergic effect of Fe-Ni bimetallic system and the effect of polymer protection.
