Synthesis and Characterization ofα-Fe2O3/C Composite Anode for Lithium Ion Batteries

Abstract

The α-Fe2O3/C composite was prepared by high-temperature solid-state reaction,its structure and electrochemical performance were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron miscro- scopy(SEM),charge/discharge test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The electrochemical test results indicated that the α-Fe2O3/C composite showed an reversible charge capacity of 935.3 mAh·g-1 after 50 cycles,and had better cycle performance compared with commercial α-Fe2O3.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy test indicated that there appeared three semicircles respectively representing the Li-ion migration in solid electrolyte interface film(SEI film),electrical conductivity and charge transfer in the first lithiation,and their evolutive principles were also investigated.
