Over the past few decades, fluorinated greenhouse gases have been used almost everywhere in human society due to their special physical and chemical properties. In spite of the convenience they provide to peopleʼs production and life, they also cause many environmental problems. The relevant studies have shown that the release of fluorinated gases causes a more serious greenhouse effect than normal greenhouse gases. Therefore, the use of fluorinated gases must be reassessed. In order to maximize the economic benefits of fluorinated gases and reduce their environmental pollution, scientists all over the world are trying to develop new methods for the conversion and utilization of fluorinated greenhouse gases. we aim to provide an overview of the conversion and utilization of fluorinated greenhouse gases, such as freon, sulfuryl fluoride, nitrogen trifluoride and sulfur hexafluoride from 2000 to 2023.

Key words: inert fluorinated greenhouse gas, freon, sulfuryl fluoride, nitrogen trifluoride, sulfur hexafluoride
