A new convenient synthesis of a series of polyfluoroalkyl substituted cyclopropane derivatives was achieved by the reaction of polyfluoroalkyl iodides with diethyl allylmalonate in the presence of sodium dithionite in 45%～55% yields. The reaction of ethyl allylacetoacetate with polyfluoroalkyl iodides under similar conditions gave the corresponding adducts, which were sequentially treated with base to the cyclization products.
