A series of new 2-amino-4-aryl-5,6-dihydro-benzo[h] quinazoline derivatives have been synthesized by the reaction of 2-arylmethylidene- 3,4-dihydro-1 (2H)-naphthalenone with guanidine carbonate in ethyleneglycol under microwave irradiation. The structure of the product was confirmed by X-ray analysis.
